Happy Friday, New York! Here’s your weekend forecast: today, the heat wave will be returning with a vengeance, with a high of 97 and low of 75. There will be a thunderstorm right around your evening commute, but tomorrow will be more or less the same sultry, sunny weather. Sunday, things will cool down just a tiny bit at high of 91 - and it will be another sunny day.

Sun, waterfront, beer, repeat.
Now, they have been saying that this weekend is what’s called a Heat Dome - which sounds pretty apocalyptic, no? Let’s not get ahead of ourselves, people, and keep our sanity pants on. With the right amount of ice cold beer, and strategic brunches and parties, you can survive anything. Here are our picks for the weekend.
7/22 Friday Dinner at Lolo’s Seafood Shack

It’s been a long week and you’re in the mood for a low-key yet festive dinner, yes? Head over to Lolo’s Seafood Shack, the unassumingly charming yet mega-popular Caribbean seafood joint with a breezy back patio. The chillax mood with island tunes and colors will make you feel so relaxed, and ready for the weekend.
7/23 Saturday Brunch at The Black Ant

Plan on spending some time on the east side today. One of the best brunches on the East Village, sit on Black Ant’s (shaded) patio and enjoy delicious Mexican brunch fare like Mexico City Waffles and Tostadas De Cangrejo (crab meat tostadas) - plus margaritas, micheladas, and special brunch cocktails.
7/23 Saturday G Star Concert & Open Bar Party in Williamsburg

After spending some time strolling around Williamsburg, shopping, and enjoying the waterfront, head over to G Star Raw for live hip-hop performances and complimentary drinks starting at 6pm.
7/24 Sunday Local Beer Tasting at South Street Seaport

It was probably a long night, so sleep in a little then head over to South Street Seaport for a local artisan and farmer’s market - along with a free tasting of local craft beers. Mmm!
7/24 Sunday Mini Golf on Governors Island

Since you’re all the way downtown already, there’s no reason *not* to go to Governors Island! Among other fun activities and installations you can enjoy, there’s free mini golf created by artists, a part of participatory art festival FIGMENT. So full of whimsy, you! Your Instagram will thank you!
Have a good weekend! (We got started a little early last night - here’s a video from the High Line’s Up Late performance art / dance party. To keep up to date, follow us on Instagram @pulsd.)
