Restaurant Name: Bond St.
Location: NoHo
The Scoup: Fabulous Sushi Restaurant
The Vibe:
Bond St. lounge is as sleek as #TheNYC gets. At the same time, it’s very comfy and inviting, which at many NYC go-to spots, is not the case. You are able to approach the lounge in two ways: hide away in the dark corners with privacy—for all those who want nothing to do with anyone else—or you can use the openness of the lounge/bar to be social and in-exclusive. Depends on your mood/status, saying that - we were apt to be open and talk to others. Ultimately, if you want to feel really New Yorksy—and honestly, who doesn’t?—the Bond St. lounge is the place to be. Keep in mind, this is an evaluation of the straight vibe without mentioning the food/beverages, which in any case will validate my point to a substantial extent.
The Beverages:
We tried three beverages. Shiso Cucumber. Jalapeño Margarita. Lychee Martini. Starting off with the Shiso Cuke—a valiant attempt to be healthy— it was amazing. Now, this is definitely a strong drink, which is realistically what everyone needs after work. Anyways, the crisp gin mixed with the cucumber puree & lemon was a very, very fantastic choice. We felt extremely refreshed (Maybe even healthy–yes, definitely, healthy) and ready to indulge in some major sushi. Now, the Lychee Martini is definitely a drink for those who have a sweet tooth. It had strong flavors of orange combined with lychee, which was quite tasty the treat. The actual lychee beautifully crafted into the drink made it absolutely fab & totally trendy. Lastly, the Jalapeño Marg. Classic marg, had an entire jalapeño on the top, and had quite the kick. Spicy, refreshing, & needed.
Aaaaaamen.

The Chow:
So, we were feeling sushi rolls for the evening but decided to ask our waitress for her thoughts on an appetizer. She was ON POINT with her suggestion. Big Eye Tuna Tart. Go get it, RIGHT. NOW. Arguably one of the best things we’ve ever chowed on. Ever. A piece of heaven on earth — let me break it down for you: a thin crispy flatbread with a light layer of creamy ponzu/truffle oil sauce (GAME-CHANGER) layered with thinly sliced tuna, topped with truffles. I’m actually salivating at the thought.
Moving on—because I will begin to run to Bond St if I continue to talk about the Big Eye Tuna Tart any longer—to our sushi rolls. Our thoughts were to stick with a classic—Spicy Tuna—and try a wild card—Jalapeño Scallop Roll. The Spicy Tuna was straight up amazing. Classic, but the best Spicy Tuna I’ve ever consumed. It had a little more kick than typical spicy tuna rolls (props to the chili mayo), and as you can probably tell, we were all about the kick, which brings me to our last roll, the Jalapeño Scallop Roll. To start off, this roll was FANCY. With an all white look, we felt very sushi savvy eating it. It was very interesting to have scallops in sushi—and we loved it. The texture was firmer than a regular sushi roll, so we had to use some serious self control to not toss each roll in our mouths one after another. The jalapeño added something extra to the scallop that really made the roll absolute piece of perfection. The sauces that come with the sushi are grade A—mix of what we would have to say is some two types of spicy mayo and a soy sauce—to die for.

The Recap:
Bond St. is a restaurant you really don’t want to miss out on. The combination of the artfully crafted cocktails, the cozy yet sophisticated ambience, & the absolutely delicious food makes this restaurant a superior NYC establishment. Treat yourself & head to Bond St. as soon as you can. And Bond St., if you’re reading, if we could have unlimited Big Eye Tuna Tarts for life, that would be very much appreciated.
